- My initial reaction was that the story was about good country people. Yes my impression changed because it was not all about good people but about people with insane impressions of the world and they are very ignorant and rude.
- I felt bad for her because she only had one leg and the guy also took her glasses and she did’nt see very well. She also had to get down the ladder which would not be possible for her since she had only one leg and no glasses.Mrs. Freeman works for Mrs. Hopewell. Mrs. Hopewell is a very hopeful person and wishful and always trying to be polite to everyone. Mrs. Freeman works for Mrs. Hopewell which is not free. By Mrs. Hopewell’s daughter changing her name to Hulga suggests that she wants an ugly name and thinks that she is ugly.
- Mrs. Freeman and Mrs. Hopewell see people as being nice, they make positive observations about people, they See themselves as Wise since they old and also see themselves as Christians.
- Hulga learns that she is just like other people and after meeting the bible sales man she also learns that she might be a little different from other people but has a lot of similarities to other people.
- O’connor seem to admire Mrs. Freeman and satirizes Mrs. Hopewell and the bible seller.
8.christian values are shown. she suggest people need more christian values.

When many people think of poetry the first thing they think are things that rhyme. However poetry is actually defined as from dictionary.com as the art of rhythmical composition, written or spoken, for exciting pleasure by beautiful, imaginative, or elevated thoughts. That is why when I chose to do the poems I chose poems that were imaginative, beautiful, and spoken as though to you yourself personally. Tuesday 9:00 AM, and near the wall of a house are poems that reached out to me and related to everyone in the sense that they weren’t just on one topic but were on a broad range of topics you must decipher. In the quote from near the wall of a house it says
“And he who was lost like a dog
will be found like a human being
and brought back home again”( Yehuda Amichai)
This quote helped my decision to choose that poem because many people may feel like a stray and will eventually be found again. Many people can relate to this so I chose this poem. My decision to choose the poem Tuesday 9:00 AM was based solely on the fact it was a very intense poem and the writer really came through in their point and showed imagination. This poem was one of the best and most understanding I had read out of all.
Although there were many ways I can justify my decision the one way for me to sum it up is to say that I chose the most intense and imaginative poems that did not bore me to memorize.

book cover evaluation.
The book covers provided on the site all have common themes and trends. Those trends include either a fire fighter on the front cover or books and many of them include fire as well. These books are keeping the theme the novel is based on and giving the reader an idea of what the book is about as well as showing the main theme of the story they also help they also make the theme more dramatic. Although the covers have many things in common the one that speaks to me the most is the book that is fireman red and says read and destroy, it is the eighth book in the rows of books. This book speaks to me the most out of all the books on the site because it gives the reader the idea of the book “read and burn” and shows images of what is in the book like a firefighter (main character) with a torch burning the books and the books on fire(main idea). This cover is also very detail oriented so it goes along with not being too boring and using one theme on the cover it also is very dramatic an intense compared to the other books like the one with just flames, which doesn’t give the reader an idea of what the book is about besides the flames.
In one’s life they must learn to do many things. From kindergarten to college is when much of your life begins, but first you must pass your classes to get from one to the other.
A good way to begin is to eat your breakfast, which should include your vitamins and other nutrients. Next is if you are in grade school an easy way to keep your grade up is by making sure homework given to you is done. By doing the homework you might begin to understand what you are learning better. Test usually decide if you are going to pass the class with a high passing grade or low, so keep test grades up and if you do what is mentioned before you should do well. Continuing through college, which I have not achieved yet, should be however harder than grades school and should be proceeded with most of your attention on what your professor says and you usually have many essays so it would be a great idea to work hard on those. Lastly do not procrastinate your homework for school or essays in college it could prove to be fatal in the end.
Many lessons can be achieved by getting passing grades. Like most people who pass their classes’ graduate high school leading them to college and eventually they get a good job and live happily ever after.
Virginia Woolf’s opinion that “the angel in the house is dead and no longer lives in the imaginations of either women or men” in my opinion is precise in this day and age.
When she says this she means that what women were in her day-the house wife-was a correct image of what does happen in the twenty-first century.
Though this is not a bad thing it is accurate and her perception of this was right. There are women who are still the ultimate version of the housewife however many women in this age are self sufficient and go to work or even own there own business. After the women’s rights acts many women broke away form the roles of the hostess or house wife role to become the new modern day woman who works equal to what a man would work like as well.
Woolf was born in 1892 so the future would obviously be different from what her world was like. The quote used from the story in my opinion is true as I say in paragraph one and two, women’s jobs changed drastically and some men take over the job of the “angel in the house”. Neither men nor women see the females in the world like “the angel in the house”, these days because women are more independent and many men and women both pick up the slack of being now the host/hostess, wife/husband, and mother/father.

“Assertions on the Omnipresent Box”
In the article The Argument Against TV by Corbett Trubey he states that “The omnipresent box sitting somewhere in our homes, workplaces, and just about everywhere else has a much greater hold on our lives than we think,” meaning our televisions have a greater hold on our time and lives than we think and they are popping up everywhere. This quote from Trubey, although short and without any facts, is one I agree on from his argument.
This statement from Trubey’s argument I believe is extremely accurate in this generation of teens and children. Everyday you can see how the world is changing and how the television is moving along with it. If someone were to ask you if you had a TV these days most people would be able to say they had two or three showing how a television. Many people are becoming couch potatoes in their homes, and spend much of their time watching a television program on TV even if they do not comprehend what it is they are watching. The fascination with TV is just becoming more widespread in the world and pops up everywhere like Trubey says in the quote above.
Although it is our own choice to sit an watch the “omnipresent box” the more the world moves with technology the less importance it seems that we are losing contact with the real world hence us spending way too much time near a TV. These days TVs are popping up not only at work and home but on cell phones, computers, and Ipod’s and this TV loving world doesn’t seem close to losing its addiction.

This article is about fish and other creatures jumping out of the water and attacking people. The other uses facts about fish like -fish. Most of them are capable of jumping, and usually do so by swimming quickly toward the surface of the water.
